Yoga on the Beach
May 15, 2014, 5:40 pm
Fresh air, beautiful vistas, ocean views, and the sounds of nature provide an idyllic setting to sneak off to for some pampering and relaxation.
The perfect start to any summer day, Yoga on the Beach offers morning classes six days a week during the summer season. Students of all ages are welcome, with the average age being 40s-60s. The class size ranges from 5-30 students with varying levels of yoga experience.
Owner Nancy Curran says the uniqueness of Yoga on the Beach begins with their “studio” space, as classes are guided and sometimes dictated by Mother Nature.
“From the serene sound of the sea to the strong energy of the wind, Mother Nature teaches us to be in acceptance and to flow from that. Don and I use that teaching in our classes as we invite our students to recognize where their body may be each day, each breath and move from there. All of our classes are taught with all levels in mind. We encourage each student to work at their own pace, and honor what their body needs.”
